Free Airport pick up in Rome (FCO), pick up at Terminal 3, arrivals at 1:00 pm and then drive across the Abruzzo mountains towards the Palazzo Tour d’Eau in Carunchio, where you will be staying. After you are settled in, we’ll meet for a cocktail and a briefing of the tour. A welcome dinner will follow, with a multicourse meal.
After a short walk through the charming old town, we’ll begin our first cooking class. You will learn about the essential ingredients of Abruzzese cuisine and prepare fresh, flavorful sauces for pasta. This session focuses on quick, healthy homemade meals that are both simple and delicious. We’ll enjoy lunch together, Italian-style, slowly and with great company. In the afternoon, we’ll visit a local organic olive oil press. The owner will explain the traditional process of making true extra virgin olive oil, followed by a guided professional tasting to discover the rich flavors of this regional treasure.

Afterward, we’ll head to Agnone, in the Molise region, known for its top-quality cheeses. Watch the production of mozzarella, burrata, and caciocavallo, a gourmet version of provolone. For lunch, enjoy a delicious porchetta sandwich paired with fine Italian beer. In the afternoon, explore Agnone’s historic bell foundry, still making church bells by hand for the Vatican.
