This tour is designated for people that want to cook, but instead of staying at the Palazzo in Carunchio (mountain top village, rural, real Italy experience, with the accomodation being in a historic castle), you will be staying in a ancient but larger town called Termoli. It is located right on the coast.
This tour is dedicated for people that love fish and seafood. Here, in Termoli, it doesn’t get fresher than that! But mind, it’s not all about fish. The accomodation is the Residenza Sveva. This is also a unique experience because you will be staying in cottages that used to be the residence of fisherman. All refurbished in style, proving an incredible experience. This is our sister company. The staff, including the chefs and the guides have been trained by same people that provide the same amazing experience at the Palazzo Tour d’Eau. Only the best.
DAY 1: WELCOME DINNER
Free Airport pick up in Rome (FCO), pick up at Terminal 3, arrivals at 1:00 pm and then drive across the Abruzzo mountains towards the Residenza Sveva in Termoli, where you will be staying. After you are settled in, a welcome dinner will follow, with a multicourse meal.
DAY 2: OLIVE PRESS, ORGANIC LUNCH, FISH COOKING CLASS
Visit an award winning olive oil maker and light lunch under the olive grove.
The afternoon will follow with the first cooking class where you will be learning some of the most famous dishes of Termoli and its fish traditions.
DAY 3: GUIDED TOUR OF TERMOLI, FISHERMAN CLUB, APERITIVO AND WINERY VISIT AND PIZZA COOKING CLASS
The day will start with a guided tour of Termoli, followed by a quick visit to the fisherman club, since Termoli was a fishermen hamlet. You will then experience the “cicchetti”, which is a wine tasting with some salame sampling and other flavourful snaks. After a small break, we will head to our favourite winery, the best in Molise. A pizza class will follow with a master pizzaiolo.
DAY 4: COOKING CLASS – FREE AFTERNOON – SHOPPING – DINNER
The day will start with the 3rd cooking class where you will be cooking peasant. The afternoon will be free to discover the town, do a little shopping and enjoy the scenary. Dinner will be at Ferdinando, the legendary Termoli restaurant.
DAY 5: GUIDED TOUR OF VAST – LUNCH ON THE TRABOCCO – LIGHT DINNER
On this day there is no cooking. In the morning you will enjoy a guided tour of Vasto, a city that built before the roman empire, over 2,500 years of life. Lunch will be on the trabocco, which is a fishing house on stilts. This is a pop-up restaurant that is open from May to October. During the off season, lunch will be eaten at the finest fish restaurant of Vasto. Light dinner to follow.
DAY 6: BELLS, CHEESE MAKING LAB, LUNCH AT THE CHEESE MAKER, SANCTUARY VISIT, FAREWELL DINNER
In the morning, we will head to Agnone, where we will pay visit to a historic artisan bell foundry which still makes church bells manually for the Vatican. We will learn about the manufacturing phases, that lasted for 700 years.
Later in the morning we will learn the tricks of teh trade on how to make mozzarella. This will be a cheese lab. Hands on, you will learning how to stretch and create mozzarella. Agnone is famous in the area for its quality cheese, especially caciocavallo, which is a gourmet version of provolone. Farewell dinner.
DAY 7: BACK TO THE AIRPORT BY NOON
On this day, you will enjoy your last cappuccino and then we will take you back to the airport.
