Lentil soup
What’s cooking today in Abruzzo? Lentil soup!
This is the real comfort food, very tasty and healthy!
Ingredients:
- Onions
- Celery
- Carots
- Water
- Rosemary
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Tomato
- Bay leaf
- Olive oil
- Sage
- Italian sausage
- Lentils
Cooking time:
50 minutes
Directions:
Wash the lentils. Add a little bit of olive oil in a hot pant, then add the chopped onion and carrot and celery. Add a bit of sausage. A little quick sautee, then add bay leafs, rosemary and sage. Cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes then add a little bit of tomato, just to give a bit of flavour and color.
Add water. When the water starts boiling, add the lentils. Cook them for about 45 minutes on a medium heat.
